In these days when the love lives of famous couples dominate the front page of the tabloids, one very famous celebrity couple is back in the news.

Barbie and Ken split up in 2004 after a 43-year romance, but Ken came across Barbie’s profile when he signed up for Match.com, and now he wants her back.

Unlike 1961 when they first met, now Ken has a host of Social Media tools at his disposal, and he is using them big time. Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Foursquare have all been enlisted in his romantic quest.

So with Valentines day around the corner will Ken win the love of his life back? And will Mattel’s innovative use of Social Media result in a jump in sales?
